What is Attigo?
Attigo's service is a new method of obtaining and maintaining language fluency. We believe it will be a critical addition to basic language learning curriculum. It is not a language course but a key supplement to formal language instruction. It is the next best thing to visiting and speaking with native speakers in their country. It will provide this capability at a reasonable cost, without restriction to a specific location and with capability of being integrated into and adapted by the instructor to fit the specific needs of their curriculum.
We believe that language teachers and college professors will not only find this to be an essential requirement for effective language instruction, but that they will use it as a cost effective method to maintain their own fluency and pronunciation skills.
What does the name “Attigo” mean?
It means absolutely nothing. We wanted a word that sounds good, is easy to pronounce, and is at most three syllables.
How do I receive updates on Attigo’s developments?
You can sign up to receive the latest updates by entering your email address on our homepage. We value your privacy and hate spam as much as you.
How can I take part in the beta test?
People who sign up for Attigo updates will automatically receive beta notifications and invitations.
I am a foreign language teacher or professor, how can I learn more about Attigo?
Please send an email to info@attigo.us, and we'll get in touch with you as quickly as we can.
Does Attigo work on Mac OS X Snow Leopard?
We don't currently support Snow Leopard. You will find that Attigo is unstable, frequently disconnects or freezes up when operated on Snow Leopard. This is because of significant changes to the underlying technology between Leopard and Snow Leopard. We love our Snow Leopard Macs as well, so rest assured we will resolve this problem as soon as possible. In the meantime, please use a Windows (XP/Vista/7) or Mac OS X 10.5 (64 bit) computer.
Which browsers do you support?
We support Internet Explorer 7.0 and above, Firefox 3.0 and above, Google Chrome 4.0 and above, and Safari 3.0 and above. ListenIn is only available on browser/platform combination where the Java Plugin is available. As of February 2010, the Java Plugin only works properly on Firefox on Mac OS X. Please use Firefox for best results.
